God Specializes in Smooth Transitions...

If you're churchy like me then you've heard the saying, "God specializes in things impossible". I wholeheartedly agree with that saying, but I am learning that God has other specialties as well including smooth transitions! I am in a season of baby, new job, and my oldest son started a new school. Whew! Transitions are not typically easy for me because I am not fond of change. However, I have learned that things go a lot smoother when God is orchestrating the move!

Let me give you a little more context. I had a job that I LOVED but my season at the job was up. I knew my season was up because I felt like I had to choose between my family and my job (no bueno!). I found myself stressing while I was pregnant because I knew I couldn't continue to work for an organization that didn't prioritize family. I also knew my stressing was counterproductive so I started seeking God about a new job. I would literally say to God, "I give you permission to blow my mind." I also started to declare that I would receive "uncommon favor." I did not know how this would all play out but I was excited to watch God work on my behalf.

After praying and seeking God throughout my pregnancy, he blew my mind and gave me uncommon favor! Not only did he give me a healthy and handsome baby boy, but I was hired while on maternity leave. My new job has LITTLE TRAVEL, NO SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES, and MORE MONEY! Most importantly, my new job respected my work-family balance. I inquired about the position on a Tuesday and I was signing my offer letter by Friday. When I tell you God transitioned me out of the old and into the new seamlessly! It's been over a month since this all happened and I am still blown away...

I shared my story with you to encourage you to 1) trust God, 2) embrace change, and 3) raise your expectations! When God is moving you into something new, he makes sure it goes smoothly. I LOVED my previous job but I don't miss it one bit! LOL. Sometimes we hold on to things too long because we are afraid that we won't find anything better. My friend, that is a trick of the enemy to make you forfeit your upgrade. Better is not on the way, it's here! Embrace it!

Psalm 27:13-14, "I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
