Just a little encouragement!

Hey there! I know, I know, I've been missing in action. Well, I have had an eventful past two weeks but I am glad to say that I'm bacckkkkkk! So, the other day I posted the above image on my social media outlets after being reminded of God restoring power. So often, we forget to reflect back. I was literally overwhelmed with gratitude because God saw me through situations that I deemed "impossible". It's one thing to say that God is a restorer, but it's another thing to actually be restored.

To restore means to "bring back, reinstate, return to a former condition, place, or position, repair, or renovate." Do you like HGTV? Well, I'm an addict and I am always amazed at how people are able to take old dilapidated homes and transform them into beautiful, regal ones. That's the power of restoration and that is exactly what God can do in our lives if we allow him to.

So, what situation have you given up on because of how it looks. Like the designers on HGTV, you can not be moved by what you see. The windows can be cleaned, the roof can be replaced, and the walls can be painted (or removed). Your focus has to be on the condition of the foundation, the value, and the possible return on your investment. Why not consult with God through prayer and let him tell you if the situation can be restored. Please don't give up on your marriage, your ministry, your dream, or that unsaved loved one until you consult with God. Often times, we are trying to "DIY" situations that require a professional contractor. Let God help you! The awesome thing about God is his work is pro bono so it doesn't cost you anything! You would be crazy to pass up FREE help! I pray this encourages you... Have a great weekend!

"Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26)

I'm Just Saying...

Hey there!!! I know I'm usually pretty inspirational but can I just be candid? First off, let me say that I love Andrea "Drea" Kelly. She is a professional dancer and the ex-wife of R. Kelly who starred on the reality show "Hollywood Exes." Drea has the best quotes EVER! The one I posted above is my all-time favorite. She doesn't say anything necessarily profound, but she does speak the truth. Am I the only one who loathes childish and petty people?  I am friends with several people from high school on Facebook and I have to often remind myself that we are the same age. From their posts, you would think they were still in high school. Smh...

I have come to realize that being "grown" has nothing to do with age. Grown people handle their business! Grown people sacrifice! Grown people are mature! So, like Drea, I could care less about haters, the newest pair of Jordans, or the hottest new club. My mind is on building an empire, leaving a legacy for my children, strengthening my marriage, and pleasing God. And because of this, I only surround myself with like-minded people...#Mortgages and #StretchMarks baby!!! LOL

I guess my reason for writing this post is just to say we have to grow-up! It's time out for childish behavior and immature mindsets. Don't surround yourself with people on your level. Instead, surround yourself with people who are where you want to be. 2016 is the year to get your life in order! Start saving, pay off some debt, declutter your life, finish school, work on rebuilding your credit, get a life insurance policy, start a college fund for your children, start saving for retirement, stop depending on others to take care of you, focus on being a better person, strengthen your relationship with something to better your life! Most importantly, don't procrastinate! Procrastination is the archenemy of success so start today! :)

Love ya!

Happy New Year!!! #NoLimits

Happy New Year!!! I don't know about you but I am overly excited about the new year and what it will bring. 2015 was a trying year for many but you can breathe now because YOU MADE IT!!! You made it through difficulty, uncertainty, hardship, and disappointment and today I celebrate your survival! I know for a fact that all that you have experienced was purposeful and you are better because of it.

I am more into affirmations than resolutions so my declaration for 2016 is that it is the year of NO LIMITATIONS and ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES. The Lord said to me in prayer that this year is literally pregnant with possibilities. That means it can be whatever we want it to be. The thing is we can't just want it to happen, but we have to make it happen! We can't allow fear to limit us like in years past. We must have all faith and no fear!!!

My prayer: Dear God, thank you for another year. I pray that you would give me the faith, wisdom, and passion that I need to make the most out of this new year. I declare that the possibilities are endless for me and those connected to me. I declare that my faith will come alive this year. I declare that I will move beyond dreaming and into manifestation. God, get the glory out of my life this year and every year thereafter. Bless me that I may be a blessing to others. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen!
