You don't need permission to be great! Having the support and affirmation of others is awesome but don't let the absence of it stop you from going after your dreams! Sometimes God removes people from your life so when he blesses you, no one else can take credit for it. Soar eagle, soar! See you at the top!

I am probably super late, but I recently learned of the term "Godfidence". I came across a friend's Instagram post with this word and was immediately a fan of it. I am a word and quote type of person so words and phrases always catch my eye, but this word says so much to me! What do you see in this word? What do you feel when you say the word? For me, the word is empowering yet humbling at the same time. I have GODFIDENCE...meaning I can do all things but only through Christ! This word reminds me that I should never become confident in my own ability but rely fully on God's ability! Greater is HE that is within me! It's in my weakness that HIS strength is made perfect! Sometimes we tend to forget that everything we have is because of God's goodness (whether we deserve it or not). So, I encourage you to make this word apart of your vocabulary. When you go on that job interview, remind yourself that you have GODFIDENCE! When you have one of the days where it feels like nothing is working out the way it should, declare that you have GODFIDENCE! Declare that your hope and confidence is in God because there is no failure in him! Be encouraged :)

My husband and I celebrated 6 years of marital bliss on August 8th. It has become our tradition to go on a weekend trip to celebrate so this year we chose historic Savannah, Georgia! We had a wonderful time so I wanted to share some pictures with you of our trip! Enjoy and visit Savannah!

You ever had one of those days when you felt completely overwhelmed? Well, I did just the other day. I typically do well with multi-tasking and deadlines but today it wasn't just work stress that got to me but also the stress of motherhood, marriage, and ministry. I literally had an emotional meltdown because it was too much to even attempt to figure out. It was the human thing to do so I took off my red cape and just embraced what I was feeling. I was stressed! Did I just admit that? LOL
It takes a lot for me to say I'm overwhelmed because I like to be in control of things. I am learning that "being strong" is not always the best option and sometimes you need others to be strong for you. It seems that we have become so consumed with exhibiting strength that we forget to be human. I mean even Jesus had human moments...moments where he said things like "take this cup from me!" Fear, doubt, worry, and feeling overwhelmed are all apart of the human experience and no one is exempt.Ultimately, my human moment showed me that I lacked faith. It was just that simple. I was leaning on my limited understanding instead of trusting God to direct my paths. Say it with me, "ouch!"
In my human moment, I also realized how much I needed my husband's affirmation and his security. I needed him to be strong for me. And he was just that! :-) I hope you're encouraged by this post and know that you are not weak because you don't have it all together all of the time. Sometimes God allows life to frustrate us to remind us that we can't do everything alone! Stop running on fumes and take some time to just breathe. We get so busy that we don't even have the time to hear our own thoughts! Remember this: You can not be good for anyone else if you are not good to yourself! Stop, breathe, and give it to God!
