Much given, Much required!

Hey ya'll! I have been quiet for the past few weeks since getting promoted on my job! **insert praise here** I started my job roughly a year and a half ago and was recently asked to move into a management role because of my hard work and expertise. There wasn't previously a management position...they created it specifically for me. Won't HE do it?!? I know that it wasn't solely based on my performance but it was truly the favor of God!

Well, now that I've been promoted I have been SUPER busy. Thus, the reason for the title of this blog. I have always quoted the scripture, "To whom much is given, much is required" (Luke 12:48) but now it has become my reality. We often pray for increase and promotion but we don't prepare for the work that comes along with it. Perhaps this is why we don't always get what we pray for. Wowzer!

I truly believe that we are in a season where God is honoring our requests. I dare you speak into existence what you need God to do. This promotion wasn't planned but I expected it. I told God the desires of my heart and waited for him to bring it to pass. I believed that he would reward my hard work and diligence and he did. He can do it for you too!

One of my favorite Oprah quotes is,"when you do your best, people notice." That quote is so simple yet so profound. There is no substitute for hard work. The law of reciprocity doesn't work just with money but with everything... You reap what you sow! Sow hard work, reap promotion and increase. Sow procrastination, reap mediocrity and stagnation. It's just that simple.

So, what is it that you've been believing God for? How have you proved that you're ready for it? If he gave it to you right now, would you know what to do with it? Can God trust you with greatness? We must be honest with ourselves and God. Do you want God (and people) to notice your gifts, talents, and abilities? Do your best!

May God's favor overtake you!

Awesome blog. .. Great wisdom provided in this blog.. This really make you sit and evaluate yourself on ALL levels. With God you can do all things but He requires us to do our part and He will complete the rest. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
